The Township of Shippensburg provides a number of services to its residents and businesses, including the following:
Public water service for Shippensburg Township residents is served by Shippensburg Borough Authority.
Public sewer service for Shippensburg Township residents and businesses is served by Cumberland-Franklin Joint Municipal Authority.
Shippensburg Township has entered into a joint agreement with Southampton Township Cumberland County for public trash/recycling pickup. Generally, township employees maintain public secondary (non-state) roads within the municipality, including salting, and clearing of snow in winter. Contact the Shippensburg Township municipal office to report roads in poor condition.
Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR)
Shippensburg township supports the TNR strategy by offering surgery vouchers to township residents that can be used to cover the cost of a spay/neuter appointment at The Nobody’s Cats Foundation in Camp Hill. More info can be found here.
