Voter Registration

You must register to vote at least 30 days before an election. Cumberland County has outlined options for registering to vote online, in-person, or by mail:

Voting

A valid voter registration card, photo ID, or another acceptable form of identification may be required for voters who have not previously voted in Shippensburg Township.

If you are registered to vote in Shippensburg Township, you must do so in person at your designated polling place on the date of the election. You may not vote at another location, however, if you expect to be unable to vote in person on the day of the election, you may apply for an absentee ballot.

If you wish to vote by absentee ballot, you must apply to do so by 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday (a week) before the election. Completed absentee ballots must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election.
