Burd Run

At the turn of the century, a project was undertaken to restore the stream channel, riparian corridor, and floodplain wetlands on a 21-acre property along Burd Run. The stream channely had been artificially straightened in the past to accommodate farming adjacent land. Today it is a natural habitat for numerous species and home to the Burd Run Nature trail.
