The Shippensburg Township Supervisors have instituted a regional burn advisory as of April 14, 2026, due to dry conditions and accompanying risk of fire. The advisory will be in effect until further notice. During the advisory, residents are asked to use extreme caution when burning. Do not burn on windy days, always have a water source nearby, and never leave a fire burning untended.
Shippensburg Township will NOT be issuing any burn permits during this advisory period.
