Shippensburg Station

The new central Shippensburg trailhead at milepost 0 of the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail features public restrooms and informational signage at the intersection of the Borough of Shippensburg and Shippensburg University campus. It’s either the first stop, the last stop, or both for many trail goers, making it a high-traffic part of the trail in warmer months and a great place for your business to advertise or your nonprofit to offer refreshment.

Concession Window

The concession window can be reserved by your nonprofit by hour, day, or week, depending on your needs. Available service in the concession sales area includes electricity and Internet access. Water is also available on-site. Sellers can provide their own refrigerators or freezers and portable cooking appliances if needed, though there can be no frying or open-flame grilling indoors.

To reserve the Shippensburg Station concession window, contact the  Township office no later than a week in advance: (717) 532-7137 Option 2 or parkandrec@shippensburgtownship.com

Advertising Windows

Shippensburg Station’s other “windows” are actually signboard cabinets with electricity and Internet access available to each. There are four signboard “windows” managed by Shippensburg Township available for advertisers year-round.

The trailside video displays and two other “windows” are managed by the Rotary Club of Shippensburg and are reserved specifically for community- and trail-related information, though there is some opportunity for promoting businesses and organizations there as well.

To reserve the Shippensburg Station advertising windows contact Allen Dieterich-Ward from the Shippensburg Rotary Club at ajdieterichward@icloud.com
